Scholarship Policy

At Malvan Education Society, we believe that financial constraints should not be a barrier to quality education. To support and encourage meritorious, underprivileged, and deserving students, we offer a range of scholarships and financial assistance programs.

Types of Scholarships Available

  1. Merit-Based Scholarships

    • Awarded to students with outstanding academic performance.
    • Eligibility is determined based on previous academic records and entrance exam scores (if applicable).
  2. Need-Based Scholarships

    • Provided to students from economically weaker sections.
    • Requires submission of an income certificate and supporting financial documents.
  3. Government & External Scholarships

    • Assistance is provided in applying for state and central government scholarships.
    • Includes scholarships for SC/ST/OBC and minority students as per government norms.
  4. Special Scholarships

    • Offered to differently-abled students, wards of defense personnel, single-parent children, or students with exceptional achievements in sports, arts, or social service.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must be enrolled in a full-time course at Malvan Education Society.
  • A minimum academic performance criterion may apply for merit-based scholarships.
  • For need-based scholarships, applicants must provide valid financial documents.
  • Continuation of scholarships is subject to satisfactory academic progress and adherence to institutional discipline.

Application Process

  1. Submission of Scholarship Application Form

    • Interested students must fill out the scholarship application form available at the institute or on the website.
  2. Document Verification

    • Required documents include academic transcripts, income certificates, ID proof, and any relevant certificates for special scholarships.
  3. Evaluation & Selection

    • A scholarship committee reviews applications and selects recipients based on eligibility criteria.
  4. Approval & Disbursement

    • Selected students are notified, and the scholarship amount is adjusted against tuition fees or disbursed as per policy.

Scholarship Renewal

  • Scholarships are subject to renewal every academic year based on academic performance and adherence to institutional guidelines.
  • Students must reapply and provide necessary documents for renewal.

General Guidelines

  • A student can avail of only one scholarship at a time unless stated otherwise.
  • If a scholarship recipient is found violating institutional rules, the scholarship may be revoked.
  • The institution reserves the right to modify the scholarship policy as per requirements.
